This 2024, in their first ever co-headlining concert series, folk idols Ray LaMontagne & Gregory Alan Isakov will pluck at America's heartstrings in 17 shows sponsored by Live Nation Entertainment. The tour, which kicks off this first week of fall, will include a three-city stint in California that leads up to San Diego's Cal Cost Credit Union Open Air Theater LIVE on September 14, featuring special guest Erin Rae!
Ray LaMontagne, his marbled rasp, and his earthy acoustics have swooned audiences across state lines throughout the years. This 2024, he will be conveying the culmination of a heartfelt journey, one that earned him multiple Top 3 spots in the Billboard 200.
The three-time Boston Music Award winner's catalog offers you the 52nd GRAMMY Award's Best Contemporary Folk Album, God Willin' & The Creek Don't Rise, not to mention timeless platinum hits, such as "Trouble," "Jolene," and "You Are The Best Thing." LaMontagne's new Long Way Home LP, which features the rousing lead single "Step Into Your Power," is also expected to make a debut on this stage, coming off its own concurrent promotional tour.
The GRAMMY-nominated Gregory Alan Isakov, meanwhile, brings "dusty folk and moody America" to this night's table. Influenced by Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen, Isakov evokes a rural tinge to his most acclaimed songs, with blue-collar lyricism streamed over 1 BILLION times worldwide.
You will also witness Isakov at his most celebratory moment during this tour as he sings gratefully to a landmark year after the release of his Billboard 200-charting Appaloosa Bones featuring its "Before the Sun" and "Sweet Heat Lightning" hit singles. And of course, let's not forget the atmospheric grit of his earlier work, from "Big Black Car" to "The Stable Song" to "San Luis," and as well as 2013's fan-favorite The Weatherman LP.
Folk-pop, cosmic country singer Erin Rae will provide support to our headlining tandem, performing picks of the smooth-edged Sunday afternoon fair from Putting On Airs (2018), Lighten Up (2022), and, with great anticipation, recent singles "On Her Side" and "Early Blue."
