Fans have been disappointed since Alabama Shakes' hiatus in 2018 but HOLD ON to your horses because they are BACK! Following last year's reunion, the Grammy-winning trio has announced a massive tour of 30 dates across United States, kicking off in July in Chicago with a last show in Irving, Texas on September. Lucky for fans in San Diego, because Alabama Shakes is scheduled to drop on a weekend night, Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theater. The upcoming date will also feature an exciting performance from the opening act Shannon & The Clams so don't miss out!
Alabama Shakes, fronted by lead singer and guitarist Brittany Howard alongside guitarist Heath Fogg and bassist Zac Cockrell will be celebrating the past with a look into the future during the event. They will feature the three-time Grammy-winning sophomore album, 'Sound & Color,' now on its 10th year since its release. Experience the album LIVE, described as weirder, woozier, fiercer and sexier than its predecessor. From the fanciful embodiment of the Southern freak "Gemini" or the punk track riddled with punishing heavy metal chords "Shoegaze" to tracks about love songs and cosmic adventures such as "Miss You" and "Future People," or slow-jam-turn-to-party-mode "Gimme All Your Love," you'll be grooving all night long.
You will also be reunited by their biggest hits from their debut album, including "Hold On," their most popular track even today. But past hits aren't the only things in store for the Grammy-winning band.
